Wilmington Christian School Food Allergy and Peanut Reduced Risk Policy
To promote a safe environment for all students, staff and members of the Wilmington Christian School community this school shall be considered a "Peanut Aware School" and has adopted the following Peanut and Nut Reduced Risk Policy.
Specific procedures and avoidance strategies can be found in the Student Handbook.
- All students with a life-threatening allergy to peanuts and nuts will be identified.
- Each student with a life-threatening allergy to peanuts or nuts will have an individualized emergency plan and prescribed emergency medication shall be in a location accessible to staff.
- WCS will plan and implement strategies designed to promote individual avoidance of the known allergens.
